This day was full of adventure, which is so fitting for Lauren and Cody, two avid world travelers. As you drive out to the Applegate Valley, you are surrounded by lush fields, hills and vineyards. It was a typical Oregon day, there was sunshine, and then the clouds rolled in, and then it started raining, and it kept raining, sunshine peeked out for a bit with some strong winds, and then the rain returned. Lauren and Cody had their hearts set on having their ceremony on the knoll at Red Lily Vineyards, and for good reason. The knoll on the property is absolutely stunning, the perfect view of the Applegate Valley. The guests piled under the awning that was set up, ponchos and umbrellas were being used, my assistant and I were soaked! But nothing can beat the moment that the ceremony began, the music started and the clouds literally parted to make way for some glorious sunshine. Once Lauren was walking down the aisle, the sun was in full force and everything was perfect. Seriously. Just after they had their first kiss as husband and wife and started walking down the aisle, it started to sprinkle once again being cheered on by their loved ones. The rest of the evening was filled with warmth as their closest friends and family shared in the love that Lauren and Cody had for each other, getting down on the dance floor, and ending the night with fireworks. It was perfect.
